As I complete week 4 of my treatment, I’ve been reflecting on the beautiful moments that make this journey more bearable. Week 4 of chemotherapy brought both challenges and blessings, and it’s those blessings that keep me going.
This past weekend, we had the pleasure of spending time with family who came to visit from Minnesota. Their presence was a reminder of how important it is to be surrounded by love, laughter, and connection. To top it off, Josh and Shane surprised me by coming home to visit during the tail-end of their Spring Break. Their unexpected arrival filled the house with even more joy, making it a weekend I’ll always cherish. It’s amazing how much laughter and love can lift your spirit.
Chemo week 4 wasn’t without its hurdles, though. I received Paclitaxol, Carboplatin, and Keytruda again. Unfortunately, the treatment took a toll on my body. I had to get extra fluid support both on Wednesday and Thursday due to low blood pressure and dehydration. It’s a reminder that my body is working hard to manage everything.
The side effects have been challenging but manageable. Fatigue is still my constant companion, and everything feels so dry—my skin, my mouth, my nose. And of course, I’ve been losing more strands of hair, including my eyelashes. But I’ve learned to focus on what’s important: that I’m handling it all with strength, and each week completed brings me closer to the finish line of this phase.
Thank you all for your continued support on this journey. Your kind words, encouragement, and love are what keep me moving forward. I couldn’t do this without all of you.
One day at a time, one step at a time--All things happen in God's time.

Thinking of you, Marla!
I truly believe that between the love and support from your friends and family, in addition to your positive outlook, you will get through this. About that dry skin, I found that silky (satin) sheets felt better. Of course, if didn't solve the skin issue, but it di help with better sleep for some reason. Hugs and prayers❤️
Sending hugs and prayers to you! You have a wonderful family cheering you on!💜
