I’ve officially completed Phase 1, the last of my 12 weekly chemo treatments, a big milestone, and one I’m so grateful to have reached. Now I’m heading into Phase 2, which involves a chemo regimen of three drugs every three weeks. This next phase is known to be the toughest, with side effects like fatigue, nausea, and let’s be honest moodiness and agitation (thanks, steroids).
I truly can’t thank my family enough. You've let me rest when I needed it most, weathered my mood swings, and simply been there constantly. That means more than words can express.
To my friends who keep checking in, even when my updates aren’t always cheerful or frequent, thank you. Your prayers, positive thoughts, and unwavering support give me so much strength. Please know how deeply I appreciate every message, every call, every moment of kindness.
I’ve got only 11 weeks and 3 treatments to go before chemo is officially behind me. Tentative surgery is the beginning of September. I’m not at the finish line yet, but I can see it, and that gives me hope.
Thank you all for walking this road with me.
